“Oh Death, Where Is Thy Sting? O Grave, Where Is Thy Victory?~ Prayer And Blessing For My Beloved

By Jesus' stripes we are healed.

I thank God for leaving a seed, a holy seed in my brother Del as he cast his leaves, his earthly covering, prior to his departure from his earthly body. I thank God that though his body was eaten up by a chemo rash, an allergic reaction to immunotherapy, which made him seem dead while still alive, there remained a holy seed, a stump, a substance, that called out for forgiveness, wanting to be one with God, forgiven, and at peace. I better understand now the verse, “Oh death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” How can death be a sting when it brings forth a catharsis, a peace of mind, an atonement with God- the creator of existence, mankind, the universe, and eternity?

But yet in it shall be a tenth, and shall return, and shall be eaten up as an elm or an oak, which have a substance in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof. (Isaiah 6:13)
