“He Will Waken Mine Ear To Hear, As The Learned”~ A Pandemic Blessing and Prayer for My Beloved

Calling Covid-19 a pandemic blessing, though it sounds like an oxymoron, is in no way a disrespect for the lives lost, the hearts shattered, or a disregard to those who still suffer from its aftereffects. One of my takeaways and this is why I call it a blessing, is because it forced me to dig into the Word of God. Instead of routinely relying on a pastor to do all the hard work, and relishing with others at brunch the “good word” the pastor spoke, I had to have a come to Jesus moment for myself. I had to develop what a wise old woman in my church said long ago, “You got to know Jesus for yourself!” As I stole away each morning, because of the shutdown I got to know Jesus for myself. I thank God for his Word that gave life to me as I humbled myself and asked God to open my ears and heart to his Word.

Post Covid-19, I can emphatically say that I am who I am, due to the Word’s ability to translate the prophetic unseen into visibility. I thank God that he has given me a spiritual ear to understand his word and use it to speak life, comfort, and a vision of hope of a better tomorrow to those who are weary and wounded by the travails of life. Have you asked God to waken your ear to his Word so that you can speak a word to those who are weary?

“The Lord God hath given me a tongue of the learned, that I should know to minister a word in time to him that is weary; he will raise me up in the morning, in the morning he will waken mine ear to hear, as the learned.” (Isaiah 50:4)

Enjoy your day, use it wisely and know that the best is yet to come! ❤️ always and forever.
