My prayer today is for Christians who abdicate their responsibility to know God for themselves. I pray for those who blindly follow the words of leaders, ministers, politicians, or teachers without using critical thinking, and more importantly, without studying God’s word, having a personal relationship with him, and asking God for spiritual discernment. Unfortunately, many individuals, groups, political parties, and churches operate in a confused state. They follow the crowd and they’re not sure what they believe. Any wind can change their trajectory.
They remind me of the opposition Paul and Silas faced from a crowd when teaching that Jesus is the savior of the world. “The assembly was in confusion: Some were shouting one thing, some another. Most of the people did not even know why they were there.” In contrast, when Paul and Silas visited the synagogue in Berea, they praised the Bereans as “more noble” because they searched the Old Testament daily and tested the apostles’ teachings against the Word rather than blindly accepting them to verify whether what the apostles were teaching aligned with God’s truth. Are you blindly following leaders or do you know God for yourself?
“Woe (judgment is coming) to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness.” (Isaiah 5:20 AMP)
Enjoy your day, use it wisely and know that the best is yet to come! ❤️ always and forever.
